Background

Dane Sawyer left a corporate consulting career to buy and run a business of his own, acquiring Roland's Swiss Pastry & Bakery, a wholesale bakehouse in Houston supplying hotels, coffee shops, and other commercial customers. Since taking over he has grown the team and the business — shifting the customer mix toward coffee shops, weathering a supply shock in eggs just months into ownership, and building toward a position as one of Houston's leading pastry suppliers.
