Background

Munashe Makava owns Lions Pride Building Company, the parent of two specialized construction businesses he independently acquired — Oconee Foundations, a provider of concrete footings, walls, and flatwork for high-end custom homes and light commercial construction, and Georgia Pumping Services, which delivers concrete pumping through its own boom pumps and trusted subcontractor partners. He leads strategy, operations, P&L, capital allocation, and growth across both businesses. Previously, Munashe worked in investment banking on Goldman Sachs's technology, media, and telecommunications team before moving into ownership.

Munashe joined American Operator's advisor bench to support construction-related acquisitions and bring his expertise in project-based businesses to the team. His hands-on experience acquiring and operating construction companies — and developing managers into operators who can run them — makes him a natural fit. Having walked the path from buyer to operator himself, he's motivated to help others step into ownership and succeed.
