Background

Dr. Steven Windwer is the founder of Bay State Physical Therapy and Cypress Health Partners, the largest network of physical therapy and chiropractic clinics in New England. After earning his PT degree from Boston University and his doctorate from New York Chiropractic College, he opened his first clinic in Quincy, Massachusetts in 1990. Over the next three decades, he scaled the practice from a single location to more than 160 clinics using a managing partner model that gave clinicians equity in their own locations.

Why American Operator

Steven has spent his career helping clinicians become owner-operators, and that experience translates directly to the American Operator mission. He joined the Advisor Network to support young healthcare CEOs facing the same scaling challenges he once faced: building the right team, managing multi-site operations, and knowing when to bring in outside capital. His functional expertise spans deal structuring, capital strategy, and the regulatory nuances of healthcare services.
